Here's what's currently happening at the Young Physiolgists:

 

► WE GOT NEWS FOR YOU - 13th Symposium of the Young Physiologists

This year, our annual Symposium will take place in Mannheim, on March 11/12. Please send your abstracts until January 29th to the following address: youngphysiologists2024@gmail.com. Abstracts should be in .docx format, 200-300 words long and include proper affiliation of all authors. And don't forget to mention whether you want to give a poster or an oral presentation!

We have been working hard behind the scenes to make the next Young Physiologists Symposium a special and good experience for everyone.

Again, there will be travel grants for all active participants (oral or poster presentations) generously provided by the DPG as well as awards for the best posters and talks!

What happened before:

► DPG Berlin

We organised a teaching workshop focusing on Neurophysiology in the Lab course, together with Robert Patejdl from Erfurt.

 

► 12th Symposium of the Young Physiologists

On March 30/31, Marcus Schewe and colleagues hosted the symposium in Kiel, with kind support from Nanion and AD Instruments.

 

► Europhysiology Copenhagen

We were able to put up a nice program informing young scientists about career options both adjacent and outside academia. In the first session there were talks given by Morten B Thomsen about Scientific Citizenship and Lisa Nalbach about career options at the DFG. The second session included talks from Peter Sander (Bayer AG) about different roles at (big) pharmaceutical companies, Ditte Riber (SPARK program) about funding options for start-ups and Anders Bue Klein (Ousia Pharma) about the actual work in a start-up.

► 11th Symposium in Essen - We proudly present this years winner's of "Best Posters" and "Best Talks" 

As always, the Young Physiologists symposium 2022 proved to be a great success! After 2 years of having the meeting online, we enjoyed seeing you all out in the wild. Without further ado, here are this year's winners:
